The street network in the port area is being renewed. Temporary traffic arrangements are in place, affecting both passenger and freight traffic to and from the port. Traffic on Linnankatu is closed from September 8, 2025, until summer 2026.
Linnankatu is closed between Vallihaudankatu and Satamakatu, and traffic is diverted to a detour route. The closure applies to all traffic.
Traffic to the passenger terminals is routed via Vallihaudankatu and Satamakatu. Pedestrians and cyclists can also use Nuottasaarenkatu. Detour routes are marked with traffic signs. The area is also signposted for cyclists and pedestrians.

Temporary traffic arrangements at the port area
Head towards Turku and follow the signs saying Turun Satama or Satama.
If you use a navigator, enter address Linnankatu 86, Turku.
Parking can be paid by card or using ParkMan, EasyPark or Moovy apps. In addition, you can pay for parking with coins at machines 1, 6, 8, 9, 15. All parking areas are within a walking distance from the passenger terminals.
Parking and charging of electric cars can be done with the eParking application at the electric car charging points of the Kolmas Linja -street. Type 2 charging plugs are used at our charging points.

The passenger harbour has its own coach and railway stations. Both are located around 200 metres away from the terminals. You will get directly to the port with public transports set to the departure times of ships.
Scheduled coaches to Turku
If you come by coach, choose Port of Turku (Turku) as destination. You will find the timetables of scheduled coaches at www.expressbus.fi, www.matkahuolto.fi, www.onnibus.com.
Trains to Turku
If you arrive by train, choose Port of Turku as destination. You will find train timetables at vr.fi.
Local buses to the Port
You will get to the Port by local bus no. 1 from Turku city-centre (Airport–Centre–Port). You will find the timetable at www.foli.fi.
Taxi stand in the Port
The taxi stand is located in the immediate vicinity of the terminals. Taxis are available when the ships are berthed in the port.

The distance from the Market Square to the Port along the River Aura is around three kilometres. If you arrive by your own bicycle, you can leave the bike in the rack outside the terminals. A station of Fölläri city bikes can also be found in the Port. www.foli.fi.
