Applying for an access permit
An access permit must be applied for in advance from the company authorized by the Port with which business is conducted at the port. The driver or the transport orderer must ensure the validity of the permit. Port of Turku Ltd grants access permits only to its own operators. When moving within the port area, individuals must be prepared to clarify their business and, if necessary, prove their identity.

Entry to the port area
Access to the port areas occurs through gate zones, which are under automatic access control. Access is granted with a pre-applied access permit.
West Harbour access control point
The West Harbour access control point is manned by the Port and serves access control-related matters on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Transactions are conducted through a hatch on the left lane at the entrance to the West Harbour gate zone. Services are provided for matters related to access permits or authorization rights, the issuance of remote identifiers, and area guidance for those unfamiliar with the port area.
Pedestrians and other light traffic
For pedestrians and other light traffic, there are separate pedestrian gates through which only individuals with a pre-obtained access permit can pass.
