The effects of the coronavirus epidemic to the operations in the port of Turku

The port of Turku has prepared for preventing the spreading of the coronavirus. The Port follows the instructions of various authorities and those of the City of Turku. In order to prevent the coronavirus from spreading the following measures are in effect until 13 April, until further notice:

Coronavirus counseling for travelers arriving in Finland at the passenger terminals

Information points will be set up at the passenger terminals in the Port of Turku during week 10 due to the coronavirus. Information points provide information to travelers arriving in Finland on how to proceed and who to contact if they suspect they have become infected.

A letter of intent with the port of Gdynia aims to increase passenger and freight transport

On October 28, we signed a letter of intent with the Port of Gdynia aimed at increasing passenger and cargo flows between the ports of Turku and Gdynia and striving to share knowledge and experience in this area.

Erik Söderholm, M.Sc. (Econ.), appointed Managing Director of Port of Turku Ltd

Erik Söderholm, M.Sc. (Econ.), has been appointed the Managing Director of Port of Turku Ltd. He is taking over the position from the longest standing Managing Director of the Port Turku Christian Ramberg who retired on pension at the beginning of October 2019. Erik Söderholm will start in his new post on 1 December 2019.
