The Port of Turku has prepared for preventing the spreading of the coronavirus. The Port follows the instructions of various authorities and those of the City of Turku. In order to prevent the coronavirus from spreading the following measures are in effect until further notice.
The Port’s entry and exit routes are conveniently linked to the key traffic routes. There are good road connections for trucks from the Port of Turku to all over Finland. We are part of the European TEN-T core network. Uncongested roads allow for a quick transfer from the port to the key traffic routes, which makes it easier to plan the transports. There is a direct connection from the Port of Turku to the E18 motorway leading to the Helsinki metropolitan area, and to Highway 8 that runs along the west coast. Through the Turku ring road there is access to Highways 9 and 10 towards the inland growth centres. Passenger cars can also access the main roads easily from the Port, thus avoiding the traffic jams in the city-centre.
