The Port of Turku has prepared for preventing the spreading of the coronavirus. The Port follows the instructions of various authorities and those of the City of Turku. In order to prevent the coronavirus from spreading the following measures are in effect until further notice.

In the early 1960s, new warehouses were quickly built in the Linnanaukko and West harbour areas. The floor area grew to 14,246 square meters in five years. The warehouse 122 was built using the adhesive bar technology in 1964. At the end of the 1960s the total area covered by warehouses was over six hectares.
