Greetings from the Ferry Terminal Turku construction sites – Projects progressing on schedule
Construction work at both the terminal and Pier S1 is progressing as planned and on schedule.
Terminal construction site
The terminal construction work is on schedule, and currently, tasks such as base floor insulation and concrete casting, installation of plinth elements, and preparatory work for foundation columns are being carried out. Formwork for the civil defence shelter is also underway, and structural framework is set to begin in week 27. The terminal is expected to be completed in early 2027.
The terminal is being built by Skanska Talonrakennus Oy.
Pier S1 construction site
Work at Pier S1 is also proceeding on schedule, with an overall completion rate of approximately 25%. Demolition is nearly complete, and piling and anchoring operations are progressing as planned. The pier is expected to be completed by summer 2026.
Terramare Oy is responsible for the construction of the S1 pier.
