Applying for an access pass
An access pass shall be applied for beforehand from the company authorised by the Port which is visited in the Port. The driver or the party ordering the transport shall see to it that the access pass is valid. Port of Turku Ltd only grants access passes to its own partners. Persons moving in the port area shall be prepared to explain their business and prove their identity if required.

Entry to the port area
Entry to the port area takes place through supervised gates. Identification is based on the vehicle licence plate number notified beforehand or a remote identifier placed in the vehicle.
For pedestrians and other light traffic there are separate gates through which only persons with an access pass are allowed to enter.
If a vehicle without an appropriate access pass attempts to enter the port area, the Port shall receive a reliable explanation of the reason for visiting the port area, and if necessary, the Port shall check the identity of the driver and any passengers.
