Parking payment services to be renewed at the Port of Turku passenger harbour

NEWS - Parking payment machines are being renewed

We continuously develop our passenger harbour services to ensure that travelling via Turku is as smooth, convenient, and aligned with modern passenger needs as possible. As part of this ongoing development, we are renewing the parking payment machines at the passenger harbour. The upgrade of our parking payment services is one concrete step towards an even smoother and more customer-friendly travel experience.

In recent years, parking payments have increasingly shifted to digital channels. The popularity of mobile payments and contactless payment methods has grown significantly, and passengers expect parking services to offer convenience, speed, and flexibility.

At the same time, we want to provide a smooth and accessible payment option for all travellers, which is why parking payment machines will continue to be available for those who need them. Once the renewal is complete, two new payment machines will serve customers in the passenger harbour area. They will be strategically located to provide convenient access for customers using both the Tallink Silja and Viking Line terminals.

The payment machines can be used for all parking areas managed by the Port of Turku within the passenger harbour, regardless of where the vehicle is parked. Parking is paid for using the vehicle registration number, and parking enforcement is carried out electronically. This allows customers to pay for parking conveniently while making their way from their vehicle to the terminal.

During the installation and commissioning of the new payment machines, all existing machines will be out of service. Throughout this transition period, parking can only be paid for via mobile payment through parking applications.
