Access to the Port of Turku via Linnankatu will be closed from 28 April to 18 June – traffic will be redirected via Tukholmankatu and Pansiontie

NEWS_Access to the port via Linnankatu will be restricted

Access to the passenger port of Turku will change between 28 April and 18 June. Due to the expansion of roadworks on Linnankatu, access to the port is only possible via the route through Tukholmankatu and Pansiontie.

Only public transport buses operated by Föli are allowed to pass through the construction area. A marked route is also provided for pedestrians. Cyclists can either walk their bikes through this section or follow the signed detour route past Forum Marinum. All other traffic must use alternative routes.

Access to Viking Line’s car check-in is guided through the construction area. All road users in the area are asked to exercise special caution.

Passengers arriving at or departing from the port should allow more time than usual for travel.

The construction work is part of the City of Turku’s project to develop the area around the renewed passenger port. The aim is to calm traffic and open up the surroundings of Turku Castle for shared public use, while also improving the clarity of port traffic arrangements.

More information about traffic arrangements in the port area is available on the City of Turku’s website >>>
