South Enabler route network update brings new shipping opportunities from Turku to Europe
WALLENIUS SOL is enhancing its RORO service by improving sailing schedules and port connectivity. South Enabler will begin weekly departures from Turku as part of the North Sea 3 route. Starting from week 45, the route will offer direct connections to Travemünde, Bremerhaven, Cuxhaven, and Paldiski.
Located in northern Germany, Travemünde serves as a key gateway between Finland and Central Europe. It is one of Germany’s largest ports on the Baltic Sea and is especially known for its efficient roll-on/roll-off operations. This enables smooth transportation of vehicles and trailers — a significant advantage for Finnish industries, particularly the forest and engineering sectors.
South Enabler departs Turku on Fridays for Travemünde, continuing to Bremerhaven and Cuxhaven before returning to Turku via Paldiski. Extensive connections through the company’s North Sea 1 service also enable weekly access to Zeebrugge, Antwerp, and Tilbury.
