Tour: Founded in 1229 Turku has a historical head start as a city in Finland. From those days and after many fires Turku Castle and Turku Cathedral are still visitable as the sights of former ruling powers. For a long period Turku was the capital of Finland. The Handicrafts museum on the Luostarinmäki Hill brings the visitor closer to the history of the common people. In the summertime there are artisans at work in some thirty workshops. This guided coach tour provides a good overall picture of Turku and its history. The tour starts from the harbor and ends at the market place (alternative is the harbor). From the market place there is a shuttle bus connection to the harbor.
