Frequent vessel traffic opens a quick sea route to the world
The most important maritime routes from the Port of Turku go westward. Frequent scheduled routes ensure smooth transports as per the schedule required by delivery performance of businesses.
There are several daily ship routes to and from Sweden which serve goods and passenger transports to the whole of Scandinavia. Daily and weekly connections to the major ports of the Baltic Sea and the northern part of Central Europe offer competitive further connections to ocean lines and any destination in the world.
The development of vessel traffic is supported by sufficient fairway draught and a large number of berths. If needed, the draught can also be increased by making the Pansio fairway deeper. The Port has several ramps that serve both passenger ferries and traditional ro-ro transports. Increasing of the quay capacity has been planned both in the Inner Harbour and the Pansio area.
