Reserve areas ensure sufficient resources

If required, the Port of Turku may also expand its operations outside the actual port area. Additional capacity for the needs of both field space and construction serving logistics is provided by the land reserve available to the Port's partners. A large share of this reserve is located by the bypass road where a nationally significant logistics services cluster is developing.

The largest part of this cluster is LogiCity which is being built in the area bordered by the airport, the railway from Scandinavia to Russia and the E18 motorway, and the motorway to Central Finland. The distance between LogiCity and the Port of Turku is less than 10 kilometres, which is a great benefit for the users and suppliers of logistics services of the Port and LogiCity.

In addition to regional co-operation, the Port of Turku works actively with the important inland logistics centres and the other ports in Southwest Finland.
