New berths in planning
The Port of Turku responds to the development of vessel traffic with maintenance of fairways and increase of quay capacity. The plan for the Inner Harbour includes the building of a transverse quay in the bottom of the harbour basin. If necessary, one ramp for ro-ro vessels can be built at the tip of the West Harbour, and it is also possible to add berths in the Pansio area. The berths to be built in Pansio may be either ro-ro or train ferry berths depending on the development of the modes of transport.
