The goal is to improve the operating conditions of businesses

Co-operation is conducted at many levels for the benefit of local businesses. The most important infrastructure projects are related to the development of transport corridors for foreign trade. In addition to domestic traffic routes, the Port of Turku is actively involved in the development of maritime routes and information services in the whole Baltic Sea region. The Port of Turku works together with Ministries of Transport, ports and research institutes of Finland and other Baltic Sea countries e.g. in the TEDIM community. In addition, we are involved in a number of EU-financed projects related to telematics, information architecture, traffic control, port planning and town planning. The Port of Turku has also contributed to the creation and development of PortNet, the Finnish national information system for maritime traffic, and is still actively involved in the development of the system.
